Overview

Unlike pitch shifting, which keeps the relationship between harmonics, frequency shifting moves everything by a fixed amount (e.g., +50Hz). This makes sounds "disharmonic" and metallic. It’s how you get those weird, alien, "ring-modulator" style sounds.
